Watch as we convert a Mazda RX-7 to electric power! This 312V lithium ion car is propelled by an AC55 motor provided by Azure Dynamics and features an onboard carputer for MP3 sound, GPS navigation, DVD player, and more from Mobile Computing Systems.

Latest Update:

We've begun making the adaptor plate to mate the AC55 motor to the RX-7 transmission. We're eliminating the clutch, and milling the motor shaft to act as the pilot bearing for the transmission input shaft, thereby saving weight and space.
